* Last year's picture with Barbara Hale about a couple who have a baby was "Baby Makes Three." This year's is called "Small Wonder." She is also to be seen in "Lorna Doone," also for Columbia, and Twentieth Century-Fox's "Jackpot." The last is a domestic comedy, too, definitely right down Barbara's alley, for the Williams family, Bill and Barbara and their two offspring live a continuous family comedy of their own in real life. For instance, it took Mom and Pop Williams three years to decide that their daughter, whose name on the birth certificate is Barbara Willa Johanna, should be officially called Johanna, nickname Jody. They couldn't agree on the point any sooner. However, they had no trouble agreeing on the name for their new son, born February 16, 1951; it's William Theodore, after his Pop. Having children in the family is useful, Barbara has found, when she has insomnia. She goes into the game room she and Bill built in their new and larger home in the San Fernando Valley, chins herself on the high bar. That gets her so worn out in short order that she has no more trouble dozing off. The new house includes a large workroom where Bill can indulge his hobby of woodworking and cabinet making, and storage space to take care of Barbara's, which is collecting keepsakes. She has never thrown away a letter, has a vast collection of pictures of her friends. Even when she first arrived in Hollywood, one suitcase of her luggage was devoted to such memorabilia. She also collects phonograph records. She loves children, has managed to find some to take care of all her life, would be doing child welfare work now if she didn't have her own brood. She and Bill are a homey pair altogether, never go to night clubs, had a quiet homey romance, holding hands on the studio lots, drinking one chocolate soda with two straws, and so on, just as they would have done. it back in her home town of Rockford, Ilinois, where they were eventually married. They even went to Niagara Falls on their honeymoon, like ordinary folks!
